PIZZICA LESSONS
The pizzica represents the typical dance of the Salento culture and that reflects an ancient culture and tradition. Especially in the summer, the Salento comes alive with festivals where young and old are let loose in the dance and let loose to the rhythm of tambourines and violins, the typical sounds of pizzica! At the end of August then all the pizzica fans meet up for the final stage of the night of Taranta in Melpignano which has now become the most important folk music festival in Italy ESN Lecce with its pizzica masterclasses, held by professional dancers of pizzica, wants Erasmus to approach this fundamental piece of our culture
